Hello, Stony;

I just posted this one in reply to another.   Would you like to write direct, or just keep it on this forum?   I don't have this one registered with BMI yet, but would like to.

I HAVE HEARD OF A LAND   Key:  Eb

 W & M by Leon Estes 2-14-2009

E F    G     G  G E     G  A B   B  B C|

I have heard of a land, on a far away strand,

B   B     C   E^   C   B   G  E    G   B  G   F

And we’ll go there to live on that beautiful shore;

E    F    G   G  G   E   G   A    B   An B      G

Then He’s coming for me, and some day we shall see,

B    B  D^  E^  C  B    D  D F E

What He has in His home forevermore.

  G  G   F F   G     A   A   A   G    G   B B

We are going some day, to that land far away,

  B     B      C     C    C   D    C     B    A

Where we’ll praise His dear Name round the Throne,

   E   F G G  F     F     G    A   B^    B^   A   G

And forever we’ll stay, with our loved ones for aye,

  B^   B^    B^ C^    B   G   D          D     F    E

And, we’ll never; no, ne-ver, stray from home.

I think it is marvelous that God grants people the ability to write songs.  I have written a few choruses.

What style are your songs?  Could you send me the lyrics to one?  Do you have them in an MP3-type file?   or a    .Wav    file?

I am in the process of learning how to do that.

write me direct:  [email protected]

I hope to begin making my own CD's before a year passes.  However, Nehemiah Brown, in Vancouver, Washington, has just released his 2nd CD:  "KINGDOM PORTRAIT".  He only asks $13.00, postpaid, but I usually send him $15.00.  I like him.    you may listen to him on       sdmemorylane.com , hosted by Billy & Willie Pollard.   Some of the singers they have are not polished, but all have a good heart.

Ever since even before I was a teenager I have always loved to listen to the Chuck Wagon Gang. I'm the ultimate Chuck Wagon Gang fanatic. In my opinion, they're the best gospel music group ever. There are some very good groups out there, but nobody can sing gospel music the way they did. I remember them singing a song that I believe is probably the song you are referring to, and I think maybe it's a spiritual called, "I'm Gonna See Heaven." That chorus comes to my mind ofen, especially when I need encouragement, although I don't recall all the words to the entire song. Do you have the rest of the lyrics? If not and you would like to have them, the words may be in some of my Chuck Wagon Gang songbooks. Please let me know.

Hi Jody

My problem is that iv been blessed with tunes but words for me are so limited. Do you think i could at least see a few of your works?

Ive been writing praise and worship songs but i believe that they could be a whole lot better.

Please dont feel like you have to.

A bit of background info just to let you know i am. Im From New Zealand and i attend Break Through Church. Our church vision revolves around the idea to redeem and restore all systems back to it's original intent. Before the fall of man ofcorse.and be able to give everything back to Him.
Im a part of the Praise and Worship team, a pianist and i know that one of my callings revolves around gospel music. Creating sounds which have the ability to heal and work miracles while glorifying our God.To break down walls and barriers which may hold us bound from moving forward and advancing His Kingdom here on Earth. My heart is to fully adopt and bring down the sounds of heaven. And for me personally, when i play, the melodies hich resound through the speakers can sometimes feel like frequencies of God speaking. My form of prayer.
Its like speaking in tounges. The meloies portray a message either from me to Him or From Him to me but the overall Idea here is that the sounfd of music is a communication tool which is indeed powerful. However what i sometimes struggle with is the ability to brong that out in words for everyone else to join in. Like how it is when one tries to interpret anothers tounges? Which is why ive approached you since you have the heart to share. But thats a bit about me for you.
Im keen to email copies of finished work if you want? thats if you decide to allow me to look through some of your works??hehe.
But cool..umm do keep in touch regardless.Smile

write back hen you do have the time

cheersSmile

hello there you are looking the song called "Almighty God" by Michael Combs. This is a great song. It goes like this, there are only two chorus' in the song:
Chorus 1
You're my joy, you're my peace
You're my comfort in the time of need
You're my refuge, you're my rock
You're the one I depend on
You're the road to hope when the light grows dim
When the waves of doubt come crashing in
You're my anchor in troubled storms, Almight God.

Repeat Chorus 1

Chorus 2
Your bore the stripes, oh and you bare the scars
You are my bright and shining star
You gave me sight that I might see
The kind of man that I should be
You came and died to set me free, Almight God

Repeat Chorus 2
Repeat Chorus 1 x 2 times
Tag
When the waves of doubt come crashing in
You're my anchor in troubled storms, Almight God.
