We stood in silence as our dear mother slowly tried to speak, her body looked so feeble, her hands felt cold and weak. She said I'm going to be with Jesus- I'm ready for the trip. They're coming now to take me home, I can see that blessed ship.

Someone said there she goes, as she took her final breath. The room was filled with silence as she closed her eyes in death.

There she goes, there she goes. How it breaks our hearts in two. As she slowly crosses the river and quickly fades from view.

 

By the gates of pearl, over on the other shore, stands those who've won the battle from the life before.

They've got their eyes on Jordan's river, the next ship is coming in

with a shout of jubilation the celebration begins!

 

Here she comes, angels are singing, saints are all shouting as her ship  is nearing.

Here she comes , heaven is waiting, Jesus is saying "My child welcome home"
